What are the operating hours of the Pass and Permit Office?

Long Term Pass (LTP), Short Term Pass (STP), Fine and Season Parking can be obtained over the counter and the collection hours are as follow:

What are the Long Term and Short Term Pass?

All port users are required to have a valid port pass to enter the port.

Long Term Pass is valid for a period ranging from 1 to 3 years, suitable for individuals requiring frequent or continuous access to the port over a longer period.

Short Term Pass is valid for a duration of 1 to 7 days, typically issued for ad hoc visits, meetings and short-term work assignments.

Short Term Pass (1-7 days)

What is the process for the application of Short Term Pass (STP)?

Companies with or without a Jurong Port credit account can apply for STP. Government-issued Photo ID and necessary supporting documents must be submitted during pass application process:

Government Photo ID:

  • Singaporean/PR: NRIC; or
  • Foreigners: Work Permit/ S-Pass/ Employment Pass and Passport

Pass application for foreign nationals without a Singapore work pass will be approved on a case-to-case basis.

Supporting documents:

  • Delivery order/invoice, collection note, custom permit and Electronic Shipping Note (ESN); or
  • Sponsor letter from Jurong Port credit account holder with the following information:
    a. Name and ID of the person sponsoring
    b. Purpose of entry (e.g. to perform hot work, to delivery cargo, etc.)
    c. Location accessing (e.g. warehouse 1, yard 10, etc.)
    d. Sponsor company letterhead
    e. Sponsor company representative name, stamp and signature (strictly no photocopy of company stamp and signature)
  • Relevant licence or training certifications for application of occupation code

Any physical amendments to the Sponsor Letter will not be allowed and the application will be rejected.

How long in advance can the Short Term Pass (STP) be applied?

Application for STP can be pre-filled online or applied on the day of the visit.

Online application which is not endorsed by sponsoring company within 30 days from date of submission, system will purge the applicant’s record. If no payment received for approved application within 60 days from date of approval, system would purge the applicant’s record.

For same day application with the correct supporting documents, STP will be approved immediately at Pass Office.

What is the charge for Short Term Pass (STP)?

The cost is S$3.00 per successful application, payable by CashCard, NETS (including NETS QR via Paylah) at the Pass Office.

Long Term Pass (1-3 years)

What is the process for the application of Long Term Pass (LTP)?

LTP is applicable for:

  • Credit Account holders
  • Non-credit Account holders but sponsored by a Credit Account holder of Jurong Port

Application Process:

(1) Apply in JP-Online

(2) When the form has been submitted successfully, the DSA will receive an email notification requesting endorsement of the pass application

(3) DSA should then do follow the process below:

  • Login to JP-Online
  • Select Pass
  • Select Endorse Application
  • Select Pass Type (Long Term)
  • Select View
  • Select Approve the application

(4) Upon receiving the endorsed application, the Pass Office will verify the supporting documents before approving the application

Once approved, an email notification will be sent to the DSA.

How do I request for JP Pass Sponsor Access to endorse Long Term Pass (LTP) application?

JP Pass Sponsor is provided to the company’s Data Security Administrator (DSA) for endorsing LTP submitted.

How long in advance can the Long Term Pass (LTP) be applied?

Application for LTP must be applied at least 7 days prior to the day of the visit. Renewal of expiring LTP can only be done within 30 days of the expiry date. Application form must be pre-filled online. If incorrect or wrong documents are submitted, application will be rejected and applicant will need to resubmit a new application.

Online application which is not endorsed by sponsoring company within 30 days from date of submission, system will purge the applicant’s record.

Application must be approved before you can make payment and collect LTP. If no payment received for approved application within 60 days from date of approval, system would purge the applicant’s record.

For foreign workers, how is validity tagged to the Long Term Pass (LTP) application?

The provision/approval of the LTP is aligned with the expiry date of the Work Permit/ S Pass/ Employment Pass or Contractor Permit, whichever is earlier.

What is the charge for Long Term Pass (LTP)?

  • 1 year – $20.00
  • 2 years – $40.00
  • 3 years – $60.00

Accepted payment methods are CashCard, NETS, Cheque or contactless payment.

What is required to obtain the Self-Service Terminal (SST) PIN number for cargo clearance?

SST PIN number is for company with Credit Account, for the clearance of cargo at the SST machines. The PIN number can be used for cargo clearance for both import and export.

The request for SST PIN must be indicated (ticked) in the LTP application during submission.

The PIN will be issued via SMS (no more printed paper) by the Pass Office together with the LTP during collection.


There are 2 ways of processing the SST PIN number:

  • If SST PIN number request is indicated in the LTP application, there will be no additional charge
  • If the SST PIN number is not indicated in the LTP application, there is an SGD$5.00 fee imposed when request made after pass collection

A company letter requesting for the SST PIN number is required to be submitted in person to the Pass Office.

Entry into the Port

How do I use my JP Short or Long Term Pass at the port gate?

(1) Tap JP Pass on the smartcard reader

(2) Place hand into smartcard reader for biometric scanning

(3) Upon successful verification, enter and exit the gate through the turnstile

Below is a visual guide. For unsuccessful verification, approach the security personnel at the gate.

Photography

Is photography or video filming prohibited in the port?

Photography, videography or filming is strictly prohibited in the port.

Approval must be obtained from the relevant department and authorities prior to any photography taking, video recording, or filming activities within the port premises.

When photography is required, the company must submit the completed Photograph Taking/ Video-Recording/ Filming Application form to JP Security Department (JPSD) at Security@jp.com.sg in advance. Kindly carry the approved form at all times and conduct your operations at the approved area only.

For media and publication purposes, the form must be submitted to JP Corporate Relations & Communications (CRC) at corpcomms@jp.com.sg, and the materials must be shared with JP CRC before they are published.

Vehicle Entry Passes (effective 1st April 2018)

Vehicle Registration

Is vehicle registration required for entry into the port?

Motorcycles and bicycles are not allowed entry into the port.

All other vehicles, local or foreign-registered, must complete a one-time registration in JPOnline. For those without JPOnline account, you can fill out the Vehicle Registration Application Form and submit it to JP Pass Office at passoffice@jp.com.sg for registration.


Modes of Registration:

JP-Online Application – (customer/port user with both Credit and JP-Online Accounts)

(1) Login to JPOM

(2) Proceed to “Other Services”

(3) Select “Vehicle Info Registration”

(4) Select “Create”

(5) Enter the relevant information, ie. Vehicle/Trailer no, Name of declarant, Contact No, Vehicle Type, Unladen Weight

(6) Kindly read the Terms & Conditions and select “I agree”

(7) Submit Application

*NO Payment is required for registration of vehicle

Manual Application

(1) Go to https://jponline.com.sg/jppass/ui/home

(2) Under “Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP)”, download “Vehicle Information Registration”

(3) Completed form to be submitted to:

  • Pass Office physically OR
  • By email (scanned copy)

The company details, In-Vehicle Unit (IU) number and unladen weight of the vehicle need to be indicated in the application form for both JP-Online and manual registration.

Do I require a Vehicle Entry Pass to drive into the port?

Vehicle Entry Pass (VEP) is required for pick-up trucks, panel vans, covered vans and private cars driving into the port. Please ensure your Cashcard has sufficient balance and is inserted into the IU reader during exit.

Daily Vehicle Entry Pass

Local Vehicle: There is no application form for daily VEP. A $2 fee will be deducted during exit, allowing multiple trips within 24hours from the time of entry.

Foreign Vehicle: Foreign vehicle drivers must apply for a VEP at the Pass Office, with a maximum validity of 5 days. The Pass Office will issue a paper VEP, which drivers are required to display it on their dashboard.

(3) Physically submit the completed form to the Pass Office counter

Season Parking Vehicle Entry Pass – (LOCAL VEHICLE ONLY)

(1) Go to https://jponline.com.sg/jppass/ui/home

(2) Under “Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP), download ‘Season Parking Application’


(3) Completed form to be submitted to:
• Pass Office physically OR
• By email (scanned copy)

Season Parking Vehicle Entry Pass is provided to companies that qualify under any of the below-mentioned categories:

  • Tenant
  • Tenant cum Agent
  • Agent (non-tenant)
  • Tenant cum Stevedore
  • Stevedoring (non-tenant)
  • JP Main Contractor
  • Lessee
  • Supplier
  • J1 Basin Operator (Wooden Craft/Barter Operator)
  • Canteen Stall Holders
  • JP Staff
