PIVOTAL IN SUPPORTING SINGAPORE’S POSITION AS AN INTERNATIONAL MARITIME CENTRE

With an annual turnover of 1.5 to 2 billion Singapore dollars, ship supply is one of the key industries helping the country to develop its position as an international maritime centre.

Playing a pivotal role in nation’s ship supply industry are Jurong Port’s two lighter terminals, Penjuru Lighter Terminal and Marina South Wharves, which are Singapore’s primary gateways for the supply of ship provisions and spares.

Our lighter terminals handle a combined total of 800,000MT of cargoes with 70,000 vessel calls by lighter fleet annually.

RELY ON OUR LIGHTER TERMINALS TO SERVE YOUR NEEDS

Close Proximity to Singapore's Anchorages

Strategically located, the Western and Eastern anchorages are easily accessible from Penjuru Lighter Terminal and Marina South Wharves respectively. This effectively lowers operating costs with reduced travelling distance.

Green Pedestal Mounted Cranes

Our electricity-powered cranes reduce the carbon footprint and have a Safe Working Load of 10 tonnes at 16m outreach or 20 tonnes at 8m outreach.

High Level of Service Quality

Priding ourselves on impeccable customer service and operation, our SO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System accreditation is the badge of assurance.

Fast Vessel Turnaround

For quick turnaround time, our spacious wharves are an asset to lighters and trucks. Penjuru Lighter Terminal occupies 3,000sqm of wharf space, while Marina South Wharves has a 100m long wharf, on a 2,220sqm area.

Cargo Handling

To ensure that lifting activities are carried out safely 24/7, riggers, signalman, crane operators and lifting supervisors are available for assistance.

Vessel-Related

Boat operators who seek to base their boats at our Lighter Terminals can utilise the wharf-side and mooring buoy mooring space. Berths for lighter vessels are also available for cargo handling or crew changing activities to be carried out.

Special Ancillary

Registered port users are able to declare their cargo on-site with the provided self-service terminals. In addition, there are available office space for boat operators and Jurong Port’s appointed crane operators to handle administrative tasks.

TOWARDS THE NEXT-GEN LIGHTER TERMINALS

By 2025, we hope to realise our vision of next-gen lighter terminals with greatly streamlined work processes, just-in-time services for both trucks and lighters, and shorter turnaround time.
