- All dangerous goods handled at Jurong Port are classified either storable or direct delivery/loading. Consult WSH Duty Officer at jpfss@jp.com.sg for classification clarification.
- For conventional handling of dangerous goods, meaning by conventional vessels where QC is not involved, all classes of dangerous goods regardless of grouping will be handled by DIRECT loading/discharging. Storage is strictly not allowed.
- For container operations where QC is deployed, all IMO class 3 dangerous goods can be stored and some IMO class 2 dangerous goods. However, due to the size of the approved centralized dangerous good yard, Combi Terminal (CT) planner will decide if storage is allowed based on the space availability.
- The type and quantity of dangerous good that is allowed to be stored at the approved centralized dangerous good yard is as per 6.1.1 – Controlled Storage.
- In the event there is any request for storage of dangerous good coming from any sources, WSH will evaluate on the risk. If it is recommended for storage, the request shall be forwarded to CT planner who will determine the final storage request based on the space availability.
- For IMO classes 2.1, 3 and 4.1, the storage requirement is no longer dependent on the flash point or the packing type. All is allowed to store within the approved dangerous good storage yard.
- The approved PM4 will serve as the permit for storage as indicated in the storage code.
