New Enhancements to Online Applications

Jurong Port has implemented several new enhancements to its online business applications and internal IT processes, which will allow more efficient and effective interface with customers.

The first such roll-out on 16 August 2007 is the Jurong Port Berth Planning System, which enables faster and automated allocation of vessels to available berths. In addition, the new features in the system allow our planners fast and accurate access to all berth planning parameters. More importantly, the system caters for an SMS alert option, which keeps customers instantaneously updated via mobile phones on berthing details and amendments of their vessels.

Several other enhancements in the pipeline that would allow customers to make on-line applications via JP-Online are as follows:

a) Overnight Parking for Vehicles
b) Parking of Line-Tow Barge
c) Reefer Container Power Outlet
d) Use of Space
e) Overnight Parking for Forklift/ Shore Crane
f) Stationing of Forklift / Container Lifter / Wheel Loader / Shore Crane
g) Hire of Wooden / Steel Spreader
h) Contractor Permit
i) Hot Work Permit
j) Warehouse Storage
