HUBLine calls at Jurong Ports Container Terminal
HUBLine has commenced operations at Jurong Port. The
Line, which operates a fleet of over 20
vessels, has been operating services to and from Malaysia,
China, Hong Kong, Korea, Myanmar,
the Indian Sub-continent, Cambodia, Japan, Indonesia,
Australia and the Philippines. They have
now introduced two new services to Singapore, i.e. the
Myanmar Service and the Thailand
Service.
On
15 July 2003, HUBLines Myanmar Service made its
debut in Singapore with the arrival of M/V Saipan Leader
at Jurong Port. The Service will be making fortnightly
calls at Jurong Port and its rotation is Yangon, Port
Klang, Singapore, Pasir Gudang and Yangon.
HUBLines
weekly Thailand Service to Jurong Port will start on
24 July 2003 with the M/V Saipan Star. The Service calls
Port Klang, Bangkok, Bangpakong, Laem Chabang and Singapore.
Ms
Vicky Lui, General Manager of Hub Marine Pte Ltd, says,
"Jurong Port has the potential and it holds well
for future co-operation with HUBLine."
Mr
Matthew Chan, Jurong Ports CEO, remarks, We
are glad that HUB has put their confidence in us and
we hope to see the rapid growth of HUBs business
in Singapore through Jurong Port.

Lui, General Manager of Hub Marine, for the maiden arrival
of M/V Saipan Leader With the introduction of these
two new Services, Jurong Ports Container Terminal
has enhanced its connectivity and port network.
Today,
shipping lines which operate from Jurong Port make direct
calls to over 40 destinations worldwide, stretching
from North and South America and Canada to the Mediterranean
and the Middle East to South Africa to the Indian Sub-Continent,
Southeast Asia and the Far East, covering major ports-of-call
such as Seattle, Vancouver, Rio de Janeiro, Trieste,
Koper, Piraeus, Haifa, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Durban,
Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Xingang, Yantian,
Busan, Keelung, Hong Kong, Yokohama and Nagoya, among
others.
