Mr Ng Lang has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of JTC Corporation since 1 Sep 2017. He has been on JTC Board since 1 Jan 2015. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) since Aug 2010 where he emplaced the value of people, partnership and public spaces at the core of urban planning. He oversaw major master planning initiatives like the Master Plan Review 2013, the Rail Corridor, the Punggol Digital District and the Jurong Lake District. To transform urban planning, he led a 3-year digitalisation plan to fully digitise planning processes in URA. This has allowed planners to use data analytics to improve planning insights, and enhance inter-agency collaboration for better planning outcomes and productivity.
Mr Ng was the CEO of National Parks Board of Singapore from 2006 to 2010 where he played a key role in implementing major green infrastructure programmes to achieve the “City in a Garden” vision. He also championed community outreach efforts to enhance public appreciation and participation in Singapore’s greening and biodiversity conservation programmes. Mr Ng has also served in various capacities in the Singapore public service, including the Singapore Foreign Service and the public healthcare sector.
Currently, he also serves on the boards of Jurong Port Pte Ltd, Ascendas-Singbridge Pte Ltd, TJ Holdings (III) Pte Ltd, Singapore-Suzhou Township Development Pte Ltd and China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group Co. Ltd. He is also a member of the Singapore Management University Real Estate Programme Advisory Board.
In 1984, he was awarded the PSC Overseas Merit Scholarship and graduated in Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieur De Chimie De Montpellier, France.
