Jurong Port deploys an IT-driven operation system to ensure optimal efficiency in the handling of general and bulk cargo. Under this system, mobile devices are used to upload information on cargo loaded and discharged; this allows the Port’s customers to monitor in real time the status of their vessels and cargo via the port’s online portal.
The system allows for better utilization of manpower, and minimization of waiting time, thus increasing the overall productivity and service standards.
