Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Award 2012

  • Jurong Port: “Asia Pacific Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator of the year” Award 2012

    Jurong Port has received the Asia Pacific Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator of the Year (Asia Pacific) Award at the 2012 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices awards. This is the third time Jurong Port has won the award.

    According to Frost & Sullivan, a panel of industry captains selects award recipients based on their outstanding achievement and performance. The criteria include the efforts to effectively manage the shift in consumer demand, sustain innovation, retain talent, focus on strategic transactions, address environmental concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.

Singapore Quality Class

  • Jurong Port has been awarded the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) status by SPRING Singapore.

    The SQC certification takes note of seven dimensions of excellence; Leadership, Planning, Information, People, Processes, Customers & Results.

BCA Green Mark Award (Platinum)

  • Jurong Port received the Green Mark Platinum Award from Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in 2012.

    This award recognizes the green design of the Jurong Port Building whose refurbishment is planned for completion by end 2012.

    Meeting and exceeding the standards required to win the award is a special challenge because:

    1. The building is old — it was built in 1978;
    2. The building is small, about 6,000 sq metres, and therefore not amenable to economy of scale in energy usage;
    3. A prudent budget

    According to BCA, the Green Mark Platinum Award is awarded to companies with a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability. With this award, Jurong Port joins a select group of 110 buildings to be certified with the BCA Green Mark Platinum in Singapore.

    Singapore National Infocomm Awards 2010

    • Merit Award under the category “Most Innovative Use of Infocomm Technology”(Private Sector)

      • Jurong Port received the Merit Award for the Singapore National Infocomm Awards 2010 under the category: “Most Innovative Use of Infocomm Technology” (Private Sector) category.

      This award recognises Jurong Port’s achievement in transforming its general and bulk cargo handling from a traditionally manual to a infocomm driven operations.
